Cathy Echols’ “salon” as she affectionately calls this room, is one of my favorite spaces that we’ve published in High Gloss Magazine so far. Cathy refers to the room as a salon in a tongue in cheek way as she knows the word can sound a bit over the top. However, she uses this space to entertain friends and mix a cocktail or two, so she chooses the to call it a salon in the most fun way. I adore the David Hicks La Fiorentina fabric used for the skirted table and pelmet box. Add to that magenta-colored shelves, antique mirrors, a Chippendale chair, a bronze horse head sculpture with the perfect patina, gold lamps and I am in heaven. It really is a fun room with a sense of style, sense of humor and so much character. Hands down, it is one of my favorite rooms from our second issue.
{Isn’t it clever to use a skirted table as a bar? I know a lot of you said you loved this when you saw it in High Gloss.}
Whatever you’re up to this weekend, I hope it’s fantastic. Happy Friday!
