Bathing Beauties

A Serene Bathroom by Nate Berkus

Ever since I began blogging, my computer has acquired a large collection of beautiful images. I have most of them organized by designer, design element, destination, etc.

A while back, I came across this gorgeous and romantic image styled by Twig Hutchinson. It has been floating around several blogs lately and its resurgence left me feeling inspired. I decided to sort through my collection of bathroom pictures, and have compiled some of my favorites for this post. I would love to make over our bathrooms to look like any one of these, but with the economy currently in the toilet (no pun intended!), I think I'd better stick to daydreaming about these gorgeous spaces.

This image is also from Twig Hutchinson's portfolio. I love the rich colors in the gorgeous tile flooring, as well as the lovely grey tones of the tiled wall covering and bath tub.

The incredibly talented Brooke Gianetti of Vevet and Linen and Gianetti Architects creates the most gorgeous and feminine bathrooms.

Another bath by Gianetti

The Master Bathroom in the Singer Residence, designed by Randy Powers is one of my favorites. It is beautiful, classic, and elegant.

A Second View of the Singers' Master Bath

All of the Singers' bathrooms are lovely. Actually, the entire house is absolutely gorgeous, but one of my favorite spaces is the downstairs powder bath. The walls are covered in chocolate linen, the gorgeous lighting is Visual Comfort, the sink is Carrara Marble, and there is even an antique grandfather clock in there with the commode!

I love this girly bathroom from Domino.

This cool bathroom was designed by the lovely and talented Anna Spiro of Absolutely Beautiful Things.

All white, but not at all stark: House Beautiful

I love the patina on this incredible tub! Also from House Beautiful

This lovely bathroom was featured on Simply Seleta. I love the cabinetry and sinks.

I love the greige paint and vintage vibe in this bathroom, which I first saw on Pure Style Home.

This image comes from Desire to Inspire. Have you ever seen a better view?!

This very romantic bathroom comes from M.A. Belle. I love that they have combated the starkness of the room with very romantic pieces, like the gorgeous tub and chandelier.

Another room with a very vintage vibe. I love that someone was bold enough to really go for a bold color like this rich red. Unfortunately, I didn't cite the source when I saved this one. Any ideas?

I totally dig the contrast of light and dark in this amazing bathroom from Apartment Therapy. The cabinetry, countertops, sink, and Thomas O'Brien sconces (I have those!) are incredible.

This bathroom by Blount Design feels very organic and cozy. It almost feels more like a dressing room, but I love it. The lighting is fantastic!

J.Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyons' (as seen in Domino) out of this world bathroom. Truth be told, I can't imagine that it would be the most comfortable or practical, but the floors alone are insane!

This image is also from Domino. While I wouldn't recommend this for a home, I think it would look sensational in a boutique hotel. The tile work is amazing!
Benjamin Dhuong's Beautiful Faux Bois Bathroom from last year's San Francisco Decorator's Showcase.

Is this not the most incredible shower curtain you've ever seen? It is so glamorous!

When naming my favorite interior designers in the "Who are your favorite interior designers?" thread over on Decorum, I just had to include my fellow blogger, the extraordinarily talented Erika of Urban Grace. Her kitchens and bathrooms are insanely gorgeous and are among my most favorite. Just look at this vanity. Is it not perfection?

Erika always chooses the coolest and most beautiful hardware and plumbing fixtures and isn't afraid to get creative with color.

I love the cheery color used by Erika in this bathroom.

One last look at Erika's attention to detail
